Failure to follow these instructions will result in the job being deleted
Useful Tips
Limit file uploads to 200MiB
Only Rhino 6 and 7 files are supported
Include your name in the template when submitting the file.
Delete doubled lines.
Do not make pieces too small. Pieces smaller than 1/8″ fall through the screen in the laser cutter and cannot be retrieved.
Notate pieces so they can be found easily.
Keep an original file in case there is a problem. Modifying the file after it was sent will make you ineligible for a refund.
Illustrator
vector or outline
Open the template file and your working file.
Do not alter the size of the template
Copy the work from the working file to the template.
Place only the work inside the bounding box and delete everything else.
Place the work on the correct cutting and scoring layers.
Ungroup all work and remove any clipping masks.
Set all your scoring lines with styles, scoring on the scoring layer.
Using styles will format all of the properties of the line.
Styles can be found under Window > Graphic Styles
Colors must be true cyan, magenta or yellow, or red, green or blue (255 in the color chooser for that color). To choose the proper colors, load and use the custom Illustrator color palette from the template.
Use a stroke or line weight of .0001 only.
All files and materials must be positioned in the upper left corner of the template.
If you supply 3″ or 4″ by 22″ materials, they must be taped together
If you want your small parts kept in place, you must supply your own tape.
When saving the file make sure that it is saved as PDF compatible
Files waiting for material will NOT be in line to be cut until the material is received and numbered.
fills
Follow the instructions above.
Fills need to be done with a different color than the outline cuts.
White will not cut at all.
You can use preset fill styles.
raster images
Follow the basic Illustrator instructions above.
Use Photoshop to create your image.
Image will need to be in grayscale mode.
Resolution must not exceed 100 DPI.
Save the file as a jpg.
In Illustrator, select the Images Layer and goto File > Place to insert your image.
Move your image to where you want it cut.
Don't resize your image in Illustrator. All resizing must be done in Photoshop.
When saving your file make sure you "Include linked files".
AutoCAD
outlines
Open the template file and your working file.
Do not alter the size of the template
Copy your work from your file to the template.
Place only the work inside the bounding box and delete everything else.
Place your work on the correct cutting and scoring layers.
Check ALL of your layers and verify the lines properties are the correct color and size.
All lines must have the width of 0.00 or they will not cut.
Colors must be true cyan, magenta, or yellow, or red, green or blue (255 in the color chooser for that color)
All files and materials much be positioned in the upper left hand corner of the template.
If you supply 3″ or 4″ by 22″ materials, they must be taped together
If you want your small parts kept in place you must supply your own tape.

Rhino

Place your work on the correct cutting and scoring layers.
Check ALL of your layers and verify the lines properties are the correct color and size.
All lines must have the hairline width or they will not cut.
All geometry must be drawn on the construction plane ( X , Y Coordinates )
In the command bar type ProjectToCPlane.
When prompted to delete input object type Y, Enter.
The selected objects should be projected onto the 0 plane ( X, Y Coordinates ).
No duplicate geometry can be submitted.
In the command bar, type SelDup, Enter.
Delete selected objects.
All geometry must be curves or hatches.
Rasterized geometry must be hatched on appropriate layers.
All vector and hatched geometry must be Ungrouped.
Select all objects.
In the command bar, type ungroup, Enter.
All vector and hatched geometry must be exploded.
Select all objects.
In the command bar, type explode, Enter.
Colors must be true cyan, magenta, or yellow, or red, green or blue (255 in the color chooser for that color)
